Thinking in limits…

It occurred to me that a lot of interactions and whatnot are limited. Twitter has its 140 characters. Tumblr, in it’s (really shitty) message system a limit. In Hero Academy (a game I’m addicted to now) you have five turns.

Part of the reason I’m doing this Letter Month thing is to only be constrained by paper and postage, which, truth be told, ain’t much of a hindrance.

My thing now is how do I get beyond limits? How do I communicate with people beyond those mediums that impose limits? And how much do I want to keep using those mediums? There’s something to be said about wanting to do something and not being able to; one of the worst feelings in the world. And to not be able to pose a concrete thought or reach out or tell the whole story in those limits frustrates me; I want to be heard, yes, but also to be understood.
